Custom Foot Orthotics
Overview
Your feet are the foundation of your body. Even small imbalances can affect your ankles, knees, hips, and back. Custom foot orthotics are medical devices made to correct these imbalances, relieve pain, and help prevent further problems.
Properly prescribed custom orthotics may help:
- Reduce strain on joints during work and activity
- Improve balance and stability on uneven surfaces
- Reduce pressure on areas like bunions, heel pain, and calluses
- Support better posture by aligning the feet with the knees, hips, and back
- Reduce fatigue so you can stay active longer with less discomfort
- Help manage medical conditions such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and osteoarthritis (OA)
What to Expect in Your Orthotics Journey
1. Comprehensive Foot and Walking Analysis
We take a close look at how your feet and legs move, your posture, and your shoes. This helps us understand what’s causing strain or pain so we can design orthotics that support you properly.
2. Taking a Mold or Scan of Your Foot
We use a 3D digital scanner or a plaster mold to capture your foot in its natural position. This ensures the orthotic is shaped accurately to your foot and helps correct any imbalances.
3. How the Orthotics are Made
Your prescription and scan are sent to Leo Labs . There, technicians use high-quality materials to create orthotics designed specifically for your feet. This may include features like arch support for flat feet or extra cushioning for comfort.
4. Fitting & Education
When your orthotics are ready, we fit them into your shoes and show you how to break them in gradually. We’ll also recommend the best footwear to pair them with and answer any questions about care and maintenance.
5. Follow-Up Care
Your feet and needs can change over time. That’s why we book follow-ups to make sure your orthotics are working well and make any needed adjustments if your activity level or footwear changes.
